So, when I said I couldn't wait to get started on this
, apparently I wasn't kidding. My plan was to work on the project for November's submission for the Make a Garment a Month Challenge
a bit later on.
BUT, after watching Project Runway and Scandal last night I felt energized (love those shows). Plus, I was so ready to get my hands on this cute fabric. What can I say? I'm a sucker for fabrics.
I stayed up a bit past my bedtime to work on this top, made using Vogue pattern #8881. And I loved it so much I wore it while running errands today.
Although I did stay up late working on this, I'm proud to say that I finished it very quickly. Yeah, it's most likely because it's one of the easiest patterns in the world....but allow me to toot my own horn for a moment #GoMe.
This top will get tons of use. I felt instantly chic when I put it on this morning, and I can dress it up or down depending on how lazy I'm feeling that day.
And in other news...I came across the perfect area to take blog pictures!! I've been coming to this place since June, but never looked beyond the shop I was visiting. Imagine my surprise when I took a few extra steps and found all this awesomeness.
I'm pretty much setting up my camera around here every chance I get. Hope you don't mind.
Today was a good day!
I'm including this post for this week's That's Fresh Fridays with the Southern Girl Blog Community too!
